ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΤΟΥ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

Nowadays more and more children, teenagers, adults, parents and teachers struggle with bullying almost every day at home, in the playground, in the classrooms, on the Internet, within communities and beyond.

Together with friends from Bulgaria (BG), Greece (GR) and Italy (IT) we believe that we need to develop the appropriate behaviour among young people and in this case to protect themselves from bullying and prevent others from it. There are many ways to engage youth in bullying prevention through different activities and some of them are – the arts. Arts not only can help to create dialogue, but also to increase the social inclusion, tolerance and prevent bullying between peers. We believe that arts as a universal language, can bring people together and send a message of anti- bullying in a creative way.

Project topic: anti-bullying tools, social inclusion, tolerance.

Project objectives:
 Raise awareness bullying, cyber bullying, bullying situation and antibullying
strategies in 4 different countries.
 Discover arts as a mean to fight against bullying for youth and increase social
inclusion.
 Encourage young people to contribute to the prevention of bullying.

Activities during the project:

All the activities will be done through the methods of non-formal education. Ice-breaking, team-building activities, homework presentations, meeting with locals - questionnaire, social inclusion activities, forum theatre, no face faces, human line activities, debates, creative workshop, drawing session, photo hunting, study visits, dissemination plans, Youthpass presentation, intercultural evenings.

HOMEWORK
Participants need to prepare a short presentation about bullying in their country with the project's related topic (the situation of bullying in your country and what is happening to eliminate this problem), what anti-bullying strategies are. Each group will present one of the most known bullying consequences in their country.

We chose a typical mountain guesthouse that is close to nature, but also benefits fully from the comfort of modern life. Here are links to the website and Facebook page of the guesthouse:
We will be in the middle of the Romanian mountains in a place that serves traditional Romanian food. For vegetarians/vegans might be hard to adapt because here most meals contain meat and cheese products. We will surely have vegetarian/vegan option, but please come with an open mind because you may need to eat a lot of potatoes, bread and polenta ☺ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polenta).
