Our team Dimitra, Alexandra, Foivos and Prodromos participated at the Project 'REVIYOUTH' that took place from March 10-18, 2025, in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia, bringing together 27 young participants 8 EU countries to build their skills in youth participation, advocacy, and civic engagement by equipping participants with practical tools to address societal challenges and promote inclusivity within their communities.
During our days together, we addressed various forms of youth participation, emphasizing inclusive strategies to ensure diverse voices are represented. We explored tools for decision-making and advocacy, developing skills to actively engage in democratic processes and propose community solutions. The training included visits to the European Parliament Liaison Office in Bratislava and a dialogue with the City Mayor of Dunajská Streda, offering insights into governance structures and youth involvement at local and European levels.
We successfully enhanced our skills in advocacy, decision-making, and democratic engagement. We also developed structured action plans to promote youth participation and civic engagement within our communities. The institutional visits provided us with practical insights into governance, which inspired us to actovely contribute to decision-making processes.

"My experience in Slovakia was amazing! The program was very interesting, and the trainers were excellent. Every day, we started with an activity that sparked discussions on contemporary social issues and ways to encourage young people to participate in civic life. I shared problems affecting young people in my country and learned about similar issues in other countries. After the sessions, we would gather with the other participants, talk, go to the hotel pool, and play various games. We bonded a lot as a group, and I became close to people from different countries whom I now call my friends. It was an experience that gave me food for thought and will remain unforgettable."

"My Erasmus+ experience in Slovakia was truly unforgettable. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and included in a space full of positive energy, creativity, and connection. The trainers (Jihan and Avy) were really nice people who made the whole experience even better. During the sessions, we explored meaningful topics like identity, culture, and the role of young people in today’s society. Through group discussions, debates, and creative activities, we shared ideas on how to improve our communities and make our cities better places to live. I really enjoyed how everyone’s opinion was respected and it made the conversations feel safe and real. Talking with people from different countries helped me see how similar we all are deep down, even if we come from different cultures. We shared our thoughts, dreams, and even our worries. And of course, I made new friends who I hope to keep in my life.
Outside the sessions, the experience was also special. We spent our free time bonding even more, going to the hotel’s pool, dancing and singing during the nights, and even having a great time bowling together. These simple moments made everything even more special. There was a real sense of unity and joy in the group. I also would like to add that the greek group (Prodromos, Alexandra, Dimitra and me) formed a strong emotional bond and had an excellent dynamic throughout the program. This experience helped me grow, both socially and personally, and reminded me of the power of human connection. I’m really grateful for this opportunity, and I want to say a big thank you to DREAM TEAM for helping me live something so unique and inspiring."
Foivos
"As of recently, I had the opportunity to participate in a mobility project organized by the Council of Europe. The activity took place in the town of Dunajská Streda, Slovakia. The activity mainly focused on topics such as youth participation and inclusivity.
I am very confident in stating that this experience has been incredible. I learned many things about youth participation, democracy and inclusivity. Specifically, I learned about the role of young people in decision-making processes. In addition, I learned how their voices can shape the future of their communities. I learned alternative ways of raising my own voice when I disagree with something. I participated in many debates and I learned what is a healthy way to structure a debate, how to get something out of it, but mainly the importance of always taking into consideration the other person's perspective. Furthermore, I learned the importance of actively speaking up on issues that matter. Overall, one of the most valuable lessons was understanding how to express disagreements in a constructive and respectful manner. Last but not least, the project wasn't only about workshops and group activities. I had the unique opportunity to meet young people around Europe, have fun, get to know them and form lifelong friendships."
