Περισσότερες πληροφορίες σχετικά με το πρόγραμμα:
The Youth Exchange ‘Together we can draw a better future’ will take place in Cyprus over a period of seven days and will include 36 participants from Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Italy and Latvia.

The project will seek to build respect and understanding between young people from different religious and cultural backgrounds, enhance the ability to recognize stereotypes and prejudices and challenge such phenomena within their own communities. It will be a small step towards further cooperation and project creation on an intercultural basis where young people have many things in common even though they have different beliefs and customs. These aims will be fulfilled with a particular focus on migrants and refugees and the particular challenges they face to adjust to the local community due to the different religious background. It will ensure that participants will embrace the values necessary for the creation of a human rights culture, such as respect, solidarity and non-discrimination as these are necessary pre-requisites for the inclusion of migrants and refugees.

Participants will be positively impacted by the rich learning experience both in terms of their awareness and sensitization on migrants and refugees and human rights more generally, but also due to the intercultural framework in which this will occur allowing them to meet and explore new cultures. Participants will cultivate an array of skills interlinked with human rights education and non-formal learning such as cooperative group work, organizational and digital tools skills, creativity and self-confidence which will be enhanced by the solidarity, learner-centred activities. The development of attitudes necessary for a human rights culture lie at the heart of any human rights education activity. The activities will emanate from Council of Europe educational handbooks, such as COMPASS. All this will be effectuated within an intercultural environment where participants will learn and explore each other’s culture.
