PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The project wants to solve the problem of low youth employment. 

The goals are:
1. To increase awareness of the opportunities and problems affecting the labor market and to identify the factors that influence youth employment;
2. Reflect on the needs and opportunities of disadvantaged young people;
3. Develop awareness in their own resources, provide participants with tools to cope with a period of nemployment and implement useful strategies for job placement;
4. Stimulating youthful enterprise and creativity as instruments of affirmation in the labor market;
5. Promote mobility as a tool for acquiring the skills that can be used in the workplace.

Participating countries: Italy, Greece, Spain and Romania.

HOMEWORK:

Once the team is completed you will work to:

- Find information about the situation in your country regarding youth unemployment rates, labor market conditions and youth entrepreneurship. During the fourth day of activities, every national team is going to share the findings to the rest of the group in order to have an overview of the scenarios in each of the participating countries.

- Prepare a presentation about your sending organization.

- Prepare the Greek national evening. On these evenings, you are expected to make interactive and creative presentationsto let us discover your culture. You can use: traditional food, drinks, music, dresses, flags, brochures. You can also make quiz, performances and/or theatre sketches and on that way present tradition, customs, religion, language, dance and people from your country.

THE VENUE:

You are going to be accommodated at “Il Paguro - Little Euro Mediterranean Youth Centre”. It is a youth hostel managed by our local partner Giosef - Youth Without Borders, which is a national umbrella organization that promotes youth mobility, active European citizenship, youth policy and social promotion for 23 years.

On the first floor we have the working space, prepared to carry out different activities, the living room area and the kitchen, fully equipped and adapted for shared use. On the same floor, there is access to a lovely little garden 🌼
